You want a fun book? Try Peter and the Star Catchers by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. Yes, it's marketed as a children's book, but read it anyway. It's fast paced. Peter is lovable. I had a hard time putting the book down. That's rare for me.
So, go out and get this book. Then you can snuggle under your covers and read about damsels in distress, orphans, and really cranky pirates. What more could you want?
