This morning I got an email from a delightful artist. Read his email and then go and visit his website. Your jaw will drop. Here's what he said:

I came across your article entitled Toothpicks: Not Just for Tooth Pickin' I thought that you would like to know that I am a toothpick artist. Below is a 13 foot long toothpick sculpture of the Golden Gate Bridge I created form 30,000 toothpicks and glue. It is on display at "Ripley's Believe It or Not!" Museum in Hollywood, California. This coming March through May of 2006, twenty-thousand people per day will have the opportunity to view my sculptures in the lobby of the Empire State Building.
